 স্কিন ইফেক্ট কাকে বলে ?

 স্কিন ইফেক্ট হল এমন একটি প্রভাব যার জন্য এসি কারেন্ট কন্ডাক্টরের বাইরের সারফেসের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হয়, অর্থাৎ কন্ডাক্টরের পুরো ক্রস-সেকশনে কারেন্ট সমানভাবে বিতরণ করা হয় না।

What is Skin Effect

Skin Effect is such an effect for which ac current flows through the outer surface of conductor i.e, current is non-uniformly distributed over the whole cross-section of the conductor.

 

স্কিন ইফেক্ট কেন হয়

যখন এসি কারেন্ট কন্ডাক্টরের মধ্য দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হয় তখন কন্ডাকটরের ভেতরের অংশটি বাইরের তুলনায় বেশি ইন্ডাকট্যান্স ধারণ করে তাই কেন্দ্রে XL=2πfL হিসাবে প্রতিবন্ধকতা বেশি থাকে এবং তাই কেন্দ্রের মধ্য দিয়ে কোন কারেন্ট প্রবাহিত হয় না এবং তাই কন্ডাক্টরের বাইরের সারফেসের মধ্য দিয়ে কারেন্ট প্রবাহিত হয়। স্কিন ইফেক্ট কন্ডাকটরের কার্যকরী প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বাড়ায় যা পাওয়ার কে  হ্রাস করে।

Why is the skin effect

When ac current flows through the conductor the inner part of the conductor possess higher inductance compared to outer so impedance is more in center as XL=2πfL and hence no current flows through the center and so current flows through the outer surface of conductor. The skin effect increases the effective resistance of the conductor which causes power loss.

১। লাইনে পাওয়ার লস হয়

স্কিন ইফেক্ট কমানোর উপায় :

১। কন্ডাক্টরের ব্যাসার্ধ কমিয়ে
২। ফাঁপা সিলিন্ডার আকারের কন্ডাক্টর ব্যাবহার করে
৩। Standard কন্ডাক্টর ব্যবহার করে
৪। ব্যারেল আকৃতির কন্ডাক্টর ব্যবহার করে ও
৫। Aluminum কন্ডাক্টর ব্যবহার করে

Ways to reduce the skin effect:

1. By reducing the radius of the conductor
2. Uses hollow cylinder shaped conductors
3. Using stranded conductors
4. Uses barrel-shaped conductors
5. Using aluminum conductors.

ডিসি কারেন্টে স্কিন ইফেক্ট কেন অনুপস্থিত

ডিসি কারেন্টের জন্য, ইন্ডাকট্যান্স শূন্য হয় এবং তাই কন্ডাক্টরের মধ্য দিয়ে কারেন্ট প্রবাহিত হওয়ার সময় ডিসি স্থির কারেন্ট কন্ডাকটরের পুরো ক্রস-সেকশনে সমানভাবে বিতরণ করে। এ কারণেই, ডিসি কারেন্টে স্কিন ইফেক্ট থাকে না।

 

Why skin effect is absent in dc current

For a direct current, inductance is zero and hence the dc steady current when flowing through the conductor distributes uniformly over the whole cross-section of the conductor. That is why, skin effect is absent in dc current.
